- Session II: November 1 – November 29 Regular Admission
We will meet as a small group to generate, revise and edit. You will have a one-on-one consultation to review finishing touches.
Located at my Amherst office with convenient access to bus routes.

- 4 years of teaching at Smith College Summer Writing Program
- 4 years of coaching college essay writing
My college essay workshop method has helped students receive acceptances to: Yale, Babson, Wheaton, Lasell, University of New Hampshire, Wentworth, University of Massachusetts Amherst and Dartmouth.

Maureen Buchanan Jones is a gifted and accomplished writer, editor, teacher of writing, trainer of writing workshop leaders, novelist, and published author of poems and prose. She is Executive Director of Amherst Writers and Artists. Fortunately for our family she has recently directed her considerable talents to helping our daughter give birth to her “College Essay”.
How she manages to take a “reluctant at best” young writer and gently move them toward writing from the heart is almost magical.
